These terms govern trade accounts operated by Fjord and Fuji Ltd (company number 15191605, registered office 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NP), trading as Fjord & Fuji. They apply to businesses buying for professional or commercial purposes and sit alongside our Terms of Service, Delivery Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy. Where these trade terms differ from those general policies, these trade terms apply to your trade orders.
1. Who trade accounts are for
Trade accounts are for businesses buying in the course of trade: interior designers, architects, hotels and hospitality operators, restaurants and cafes, fit-out contractors, property developers and retailers. Because you are buying as a business rather than as a consumer, the consumer cancellation rights in our Returns and Refunds Policy do not apply. Your rights on a trade order are set out in section 9.
2. Opening an account
Apply through our trade sign up form. We verify each applicant before opening an account and may ask for your company or registration details, business website or professional profile, and the type of work you do. We confirm your account within two working days. We may decline or close an account at our discretion.
3. Trade pricing and how it works
Trade pricing is enquiry led. There is no fixed percentage applied to every order. When you make an enquiry we agree a price based on the products, the quantities and the scale of your project, up to a maximum of 17% off our listed retail prices. Once pricing is agreed we can either invoice you at the agreed price or issue a discount code for you to use at checkout, whichever you prefer. Trade pricing is confidential to your account and must not be shared or advertised as our retail price.
4. VAT
Prices are in pounds sterling. Fjord & Fuji is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to your order and we do not issue VAT invoices. For orders shipped outside the United Kingdom, any import VAT, duties or customs charges raised at the destination are the responsibility of the recipient.
5. Payment
Trade orders are paid in full before dispatch, by bank transfer, PayPal or card through our checkout. We do not offer credit accounts.
6. Placing orders
Make an enquiry or place your order through your account. For larger or multi site projects, contact us and we will raise a quote or pro forma. We can advise on dimensions, finishes, lead times and availability for your scheme.
7. Prices and availability
Prices and product specifications may change without notice. We confirm the price and lead time for your order at the point of quote or order. Products are subject to availability and we may limit quantities.
8. Delivery and lead times
UK delivery is £3.99 and free on orders over £150. EU delivery is £4.99 for orders up to 5kg and £19.99 up to 18kg, and free on orders over £150 up to 18kg. Delivery to the rest of the world is £24.99 up to 5kg and £49.99 up to 18kg. Larger and oversized pieces that ship by pallet are charged at £99.99 to the EU and £149.99 to the rest of the world; a surcharge may apply to a small number of remote destinations, which we confirm before dispatch. Your exact delivery cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
We operate a multi model supply chain. Some pieces are made to order and some ship ready from the location where they are manufactured, so lead times vary by piece. In stock and standard pieces ship within roughly two to ten working days, considered pieces within about three weeks, and made to order pieces within about thirty days. A small number of oversized pieces, such as large sofas, dining tables and full length mirrors, can take up to around eight weeks. We confirm the lead time and availability of each item when we quote, and we can deliver to a studio, client or site address.
9. Cancellations and returns
As a business customer you are not a consumer, so the statutory cancellation rights that apply to consumers under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply to trade orders, and we do not accept returns or cancellations for change of mind. Once we have begun packing or production, an order cannot be cancelled or amended, so please check dimensions, finishes, colours and quantities before you order.
Your protection is the implied terms of the Sale of Goods Act 1979: the goods we supply will be of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose and as described. Please inspect your order on delivery. Report any visible damage or shortage in writing as soon as possible, and any other defect as soon as it comes to light, to contact@fjordandfuji.com with your order number, photographs or video of the issue, and a photograph of the shipping label. Where goods are faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, we will repair, replace, refund or credit them and cover the cost of return. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10. Title and risk
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title in the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
11. Use of our images and content
Our product photography, written copy and brand assets are our intellectual property. As a trade account holder you may use our product images in project specifications, mood boards and client presentations, with attribution to Fjord & Fuji. Any other commercial use, including resale listings or your own marketing, needs our written permission first.
12. Confidentiality
Trade pricing, quotes and account terms are confidential and provided for your business use only.
13. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close a trade account where these terms are breached or the account is inactive.
14. Governing law
These terms, and any order placed under a trade account, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
