The Hada Stoneware Planter is built around its surface. A heavily textured, stone-like exterior, hand-finished, with the same rough surface continued onto the matching saucer. Each piece carries the irregularities of the firing process; no two are identical.
The texture is the work. Pair it with a single sculptural plant: a low succulent, a small spider plant, a trailing pothos. The contrast between the rough exterior and soft greenery does the rest. It belongs as much on a bedside table or kitchen windowsill as it does on a sheltered balcony or terrace.
Two sizes are available. The Small (11 x 4 cm) suits a low succulent, a propagated cutting, or a small herb. The Large (12 x 10 cm) takes a substantial small-to-medium plant. Both arrive with the matching saucer.
Hada means skin, or surface texture, in Japanese.
