Orto, Rustic Terracotta Garden Pot

The Orto is a rustic terracotta garden pot in coarse, breathable clay, finished to look as though it has already spent a season or two outdoors. It is the plain, honest flowerpot done properly: tapered sides, a rolled lip, and a porous body that breathes the way roots like.

The classic kitchen-garden shape, wider at the rim and narrowing to the base, makes it a natural herb pot or a home for a young olive or other small plant. At 16.5cm across (14.5cm inner) and 15cm tall, it earns its place on a potting bench, a kitchen shelf or a sheltered windowsill, indoors or out.

The terracotta is hand-finished, so colour and texture vary slightly from pot to pot. The workhorse of the range, the one you reach for again and again.

Orto is the Italian word for the kitchen garden, the pot it was made for.
